View from our seats. Note - Stadium holds 83000 - looks like about 60000 made the game. Newspaper reported 72000.
Nevada equipment truck. Nevada came for the paycheck - gave the Noles everything they could handle the first 2 quarters.
Our seats in section 32. $10.
Nevada ran out of gas - probably because of a lack of a good second string. the Florida heat and humidity did not help. When the score broke 40-7 in the third quarter - and the monsoon cloud were blowing in from the Gulf - many people left. With games at 3:30 - people can drive into town in the morning - and get out of town before the streetlights go on.
We left our house at 2:40 - we drove the scooters to campus - and parked at Lulu's building. It is abotu 1/2 mile to the stadium from there - mostly downhill - so we walked. We could have parked much cooer for free but did not want to get caught in traffic.
It was very hot and humid on the walk down and my t-shirt was drenched. We took a few drinks and some pockets full of snacks. The security was checking bags but not pockets. They pretend they are looking for weapons - but really they want you to buy their food and drink at super inflated prices.
There were plenty of tickets for sale outside the stadium. I check a few - I wanted to sit in section 32 - 33 - or 34 - because they have plenty of seats in the shade there. An older couple form Atlanta had an extra pair in Section 32. They had a $38 price tag on them. I offered $10 - he said $15 - I decided to walk and look for better. He yelled to me okay - I'll take $10 - and we went in.
We were in the shade from the opening bell. Still we sweated. the first half was boring. I wish FSU would stop playing these doormats.
The storm clouds were approaching - so we left at the start of the 4th quarter. There was little traffic and we were home quickly and beat the rain.
