We Are Settled Into Our London Apartment

Last night I slept 12 hours straight - 10PM to 10AM. Something about jet lag I guess.  :-)

This is the 4th summer we are spending in this apartment. We love our July in London so much - we expect to do it even when Lulu retires. Lulu has a birthday this Friday and she says she will retire in 6 years.

This July - we have 3 sets of guest coming to stay.

The weather report is 0% chance of rain for the next 10 days. Temperature will reach upper 70s. Locals have told us the weather stunk up to now this summer. There is a nice breeze thru the apartment - no AC - windows open - no screens.

We walked for groceries - we take the suitcase. They charge for grocery bags here.

We keep two large boxes at the FSU campus - full of our household goods. They get heavier every year. It beats buying the same stuff every year.

No - we do not own this apartment. FSU provides it for us because Lulu teaches a course here. The FSU Study Centre is about two blocks away. The British Museum is just around the corner.

Coal Crackers Jan and Dicky Davids are supposed to be 1/2 mile away from us - but we did not see them yet.
