First Full Day In London - Living Like A Resident

At Heathrow Airport - you buy a card at the machine on the right and go in the hole  under the red circle sign.

After a 45 minute ride on the Piccadilly Line - the blue train - you come out from underground at the Russell Square Station - two blocks from our flat.

This is our shopping center in front of the Russell Square Station.

This store is Lulu's favorite - it is a hardware store just like M & S Hardware in Tamaqua.

Prices in the hardware store are clearly marked - and what you see is what you  pay - no sales taxes added.
In Lulu's office at FSU there is a coal fireplace. Coal fireplaces have been outlawed for 50 years - but they still are ready to go. The coal fireplaces were the main reason for London smog a long time ago.
Scooters are a way of life in London for many reasons. First gasoline goes for about $10 a gallon.  Second - parking places are very expensive. Finally - there is a very high daily congestion fee ($16) just to bring a car in town. Our flat is halfway up the block.

FSU added a new chipped card security system. The picture used was from our first year in London. Note I was wearing the same shirt. The picture was taken in our back yard.
