Lulu with the Caryatid Porch Women in London. Note same skirt in both pictures.
Lulu and I on the Acropolis in Athens last month with the real Caryatid Porch from 410 BC.
A caryatid is a sculpted female figure serving as an architectural support taking the place of a column or a pillar supporting an entablature on her head. I think it is appropriate to call Lulu one because she supports me.
Lulu and I are in London - having a great time. For her last few birthdays - she has been working. Our celebration is usually a nice dinner after work - then a show ticket. It is nice having friends here to celebrate with.
I just got back from the Victoria Theatre Box Office - I was able to pick up some very nice day of show tickets for 27 pounds each (regular price 86 pounds). We got 6 because JP and his family are going along with us.
The picture above is Lulu in front of the Caryatid Porch on a church near our apartment in London. You re-call we were at Athens last month - where we saw the real Caryatid Porch on the Erecthium on the Acropolis in Greece. You gotta love that name.
There is a controversy - Lord Elgin pillaged Athens in the 1700s - taking many of the priceless decorations. One of the Caryatid Women is in the British Museum - about 100 yards where we sleep at night - thanks to Lord Elgin.

Caryatids - one is a fake to replace the stolen one.
The one Caryatid in the British Museum that Lord Elgin stole
