Day 10 of 35 - This is Thursday - So This Must Be Alesund - Norway

Day 10 of 35 - This is Thursday - So This Must Be Alesund - Norway

Thursday night we got back on the boat after touring Alesund. I was too tired to write up the story. then today - we visited Stavanger - and even nicer and bigger city much farther south. So I am prejudiced on how nice Stavanger was.  Alesund is a nice city on several islands on the Atlantic Ocean father north in Norway. It is the top herring fishing city and cannery in the world.

We walked the city and climbed a great hill downtown that gave us spectacular view. But it burned us both out. We went to see the feature event - the comedian - and when we got back to the room - we sank in bed. We went to sleep watching the movie Hoosiers - can't pass that up.

We liked visiting the Alesund Museum downtown. We liked climbing the mountain downtown. It gave us spectacular views of the fiords - islands - city - ship - especially when the weather lifted. It was 61 degrees and cloudy.
