While we are adjusting to jet lag - my son and his family are following the Tour de France in this VW Roadsurfer Van. It sleeps 4 - has a toilet - outside shower - sink - stove - refrigerator. It rents for $125 a day. I can see some people getting off the plane in Paris - renting a camper - and touring all over Europe. In the old days - 50s - 60s - Americans would buy a camper here - tour around a month - then take it home to America as a used car - saving many import taxes. It was easier then before Ralph Nader pushed for all the safety standards. After 1968 - it was very hard to bring one home.
