I hope Santa finds our stockings |
Lulu is traveling with 3 checked bags. |
We are at the Tallahassee Airport - on our way to Christmas in Europe. Our flight today will take us to Atlanta - then London Heathrow Airport. We were just greeted by the Delta ticket agent saying they are asking us to give up our tickets - for cash - and tickets at a later time. They offered $500 each - but Lulu said we want at least $800 each. We would definitely miss our flight to London - but they may be able to schedule us on another flight. What a way to start off our 17 day adventure.
Our first 6 days will be spent in London and Oxford. We will stay at the Paddington Station Hilton Hotel. Lulu will be presenting at a conference in Oxford for a couple days. London does a great job of decorating for Christmas. We plan to see a couple shows - and Christmas villages.
Next we go to Paris by way of the Eurostar train thru the tunnel. A majority of 6 of the Everhart 10 will be in Paris. We will enjoy the decorations there.
Next - the Everhart 6 will take a train to Switzerland for a week. We have rented an apartment in a chalet in the town of Wengen in the Alps - 4100 feet above sea level. The only way to get to this village is on a cog electric railroad. This is one where the rails have teeth because the track is so steep.
After the Alps - we will return to Paris for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will fly home from Paris on December 26th.
I will be posting pictures and stories daily on this page - harry dot everhart dot com.
