Dolly Parton Smokey Mountain Christmas Carol

Big Ben is renovated after 4 years.

The new Elizabeth line is a beautiful subway.
No buying tickets or cards - just tap your phone .

We arrived in London on Saturday morning at 6 am - all jet-lagged and ready for bed. We slept from 9 am to 2 pm. We awoke in time to catch the sunset around 4 pm - Saturday. Monday and Tuesday - Lulu was at Oxford all day. Today it was her day in London - so we went shopping for presents for the Paris 4. Then we ate down by the Thames.

We were lucky to land 2 nice tickets to the "Dolly Parton Smokey Mountain Christmas Carol." We were in the second row for 40 pound each. No one was in the front row. It was a lovely theatre on the Thames - south side. The play was 2:30 pm - and we came out to a dark city and lovely Christmas lights on the river.

We then went to Battersea Power Station to a lovely new mall. It even had car dealers in it - with electric cars. We ate there again at a French Restaurant. Then we took the subway home at 10 pm. We were both tired but happy.

Tomorrow we check out of our Paddington Station Hotel - and take a train under the English Channel to Paris. It is insane - London to Paris in 2 hours.

We do like London better in the summer. It stays light out so much later - and also is warm - sunny - but not too hot - 70s - 80s. London has been named the city with the best Christmas lights. It did not disappoint.

We have used up 6 days of our 17. It is going way too fast.
