There used to be a Jersey Central train that skirted the north side of the Blue Mountain - right by our place between Snyders and Andreas.
I never rode the Jersey Central from Elizabeth NJ (just this side of the Hudson River from NYC) to Williamsport via Tamaqua PA.
It looks like it was a "red eye" leaving Elizabeth at midnight. Sleeping cars were available.
