LONDON - We Were At The Camden Market Fire Site Friday

This morning we woke up to the same news that you did. There was a fire this morning at the Camden Markets. Lulu likes to shop there - I generally find a bench and sit outside while she prowls through the kitsch - a word I did not even know a year back.

Friday morning we hopped a canal boat right here in Little Venice where we live. At 3 MPH it took about 30 minutes for us to get there. There is a series of locks at Camden Market right where all the shopping is. While I found a McDonalds for a nice snack - Lulu meandered through the very stores that burned down this morning. Honestly - the place is a fire hazard - and things like this are not unexpected.

In the 12 days we have been here - we have not seen a drop of rain. The humidity has hovered between 30% and 50%. This dryness adds to the possibility of fires. Of course the Muslim haters will blame this fire on them. There is a large Middle Eastern community in this area.

The area seems very safe - I would go back again today to see the damage - if we were not resting up for our 4 day trip tomorrow to Switzerland.
