The North Carolina Legislature had been discussing a bill that would have barred Tesla Motors from selling cars online there, but the electric car manufacturer had one more trick up its sleeve. It took a Tesla Model S sedan to the state Capitol and won over legislators by offering opportunities to drive the car. The bill never made it to a vote. (The Charlotte Observer)
