EVERHART HIGH POINT MARGARET THRIFT EVERHART Nov. 18, 1925 - June 13, 2012 Mrs. Margaret Thrift Everhart, age 86, died Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at High Point Regional Hospital. A lifelong resident of Guilford, Margaret was born November 18, 1925 in High Point a daughter to the late John and Lillie Shutt Thrift. She was of the Baptist faith and retired after many years of employment with Slane Hosiery Mills. Gardening, cooking, yard sales, flea markets and large family cook-outs were among the things she enjoyed most. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Everhart, who died in February of 1969 and a son Johnny Ray Everhart, who died in September of 2003. Survivors include two daughters, Lynn Peterson of Archdale and Marie Everhart Hippert of High Point; four sons, Randy White and his wife Barbara of Sandy Ridge, Eddie Everhart and his wife Shirley of Mocksville, Jerry Everhart and his wife Lorraine of Trinity and Roger Everhart of Murray; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale with the Reverend Bynam Orr officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
