The City of Tallahassee's Electric Utility department felt the power at the 15th annual Florida Lineman Competition as it swept top honors in all main categories for the second year in a row. Participants and staff from the Transmission and Distribution Divisions will be officially recognized by the Mayor and City Commissioners at the regular City Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 13.
Coordinated by the Florida Municipal Electric Association (FMEA), the rigorous statewide contest demonstrated the varied skills of line workers from electric utilities throughout Florida and Georgia. This year, the City had the honor of hosting the popular event, which was held April 17-18 at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum.
