Day 1 of 40 - Flying to Copenhagen

Flying over Ireland - Wales - England - to Netherlands

Our buddy George Dawson arrived exactly at 1 pm Monday. He is our ride to the airport. Our plane was supposed to leave at 3 pm - but it was delayed an hour. Lucky we did not miss our flight across the ocean.

In Atlanta we were upgraded to comfort plus and bulkhead seats - which means - tons of leg room. The flight across the ocean to Amsterdam was 8 hours. Over night - I had a left window - and perfect North Pole view. All night I could see sunshine come over the top of the pole. Very impressive.

In Amsterdam it was a quick switch to a plane to Copenhagen - where we catch our cruise ship - The Norwegian Getaway. Normally this ship is based in Miami. This summer it cruises the Baltic Sea. It normally stops in Russia - but not this summer due to the war.

Nancy booked a night in a Comwell Hotel in the harbor at Nordhavn. We checked  in and hit the bed in our room. We got a 4 hour nap. Then we went downtown to tour and eat. What a beautiful city. It is super clean - with lots of pretty and skinny people.

Lulu plans all our trips - books planes - hotels - cars - meals - adventures. Follow along on here.
