When Lulu first started teaching at the FSU Campus in London in 2008 - we bought many household items. Appliances run on 220 Volts over here - thus they have skinnier cords. At higher voltage more watts can run through skinnier wires.
FSU has a vault left over from World War II where they store the faculty boxes. Lulu wanted her toaster - one of her hair dryers - a cooking pot - and 2 baking pans. She bought the gray velvet hangers at Primark. Note the strange plugs on the appliances.
Lulu will use that pot to make supper tonight. Bangers and mashed?
