10 PM - halftime. Noles losing to Clemson 27-21

Harry wrote later - We lost the game - although we pulled within 2 points with 30 seconds to go.

A few hours before the game our friends Paul and Michelle gave us 4 free tickets to the game. I guess the 9 PM starting time was too late on a school night. To make matter rose - it started to pour and it rained from 4 PM to after we got come at 12:30 AM.

We drove the electric car over and were able to park free in the law school parking lot. The rain - late hour - and FSU record - kept the crowd low. Lulu went right into the arena. I stood outside with the extra tickets hoping to sell them. I was in the company of about 10 other guys - some with a fist full of booty. I did not see anyone buying tickets.

At tipoff time I handed the spare ticket to another seller - and went inside. The place was pretty empty to we moved to seats at about half court.

The Tucker Center is a nice place to see a game - except for the terrible sound system. They spend millions on leather seats - new scoreboards - new video board - and these hideous ribbon advertising boards. But not a penny was spent trying to make the place sound a little better. I am hard of hearing -  and I recently got new hearing aid - but even Lulu could not understand anything. Not a lot of students show up for FSU basketball games - even though admission is free with their tuition. The crowd is usually pretty gray - but the 9 PM start kept the early birds away.

The game  itself was not very exciting. FSU pulled out to an early lead but lost it by halftime. Clemson went up by 10 in the second half - FSU was horrible at shooting - only hit 3 three-pointers - and missed tons of foul shots. Still - with less than a minute - we had a chance - and missed a ton foul shots to lose it.

Circle K has a local promotion. If the Seminole hit 5 three-pointers - you get a free grilled item at the gas station. The girls have done it often. Last night - they were giving out coupons after just 3 three-pointers. As we left - the hose must have wanted to get home because she gave us 10 coupons! Looks like I will not be cooking lunch often

The boys FSU team is now 12 - 14. The girls are 21 - 2.
