| Tamaqua Bar in Brooklyn - repaired after Hurricane Sandy |
The Tamaqua was flooded with 4 feet of water but didn't have to close, they used a generator and went about their repairs while having hot food and open bar the day after storm. They had hot food for weeks after the storm, they also gave out 4000 gallons of gas, 5 gallons per person while it lasted. They got very little publicity but were very generous helping their neighbors in there time of need.
