Latest On the Crisis in the Roadtrek Camper

This morning we had the camper towed to Firkins Dodge in Bradenton. Good Sam camper club paid for the tow job. Good thing because they brought a big camper tow truck - I am guessing it cost $250 for 7 miles of towing.

The service man said they have 16 techs on duty and will get to our camper today or tomorrow for sure. Hopefully it is something minor - but it could be a new computer.

Lulu got us a rental car at Avis for $25 a day - and she got us a super room at the Hampton Inn in downtown Bradenton for $100.

Long ago - in 1989 - the boys and I came here in our VW van to see a spring training league game. Pittsburgh Pirates used to train here. It is a sunny - mild - breezy day here in the 60s. The pool is  85 degrees outside.

Our room has free breakfast - free parking - free wifi. After having a camper breakdown - it makes one reconsider their motor home priorities.

We can see the waterfront from our king-size bedded penthouse.

Tomorrow we will find out what is wrong with the camper. We will be drivng home either the camper or a rental car tomorrow.

Lulu is over excited because while we were here slugging it out with the camper - her kitchen was being installed - all the shutters were being installed - and the fireplace is being stoned - three of her most important features.

The kids have called down to hear the latest on the camper crisis. Bradenton is just north of Sarasota and just south of Tampa. Lulu and I once visited interns here.

Pictures coming later - after a good hot bath and a swim in the hot pool.
