Last week when our camper broke down - Lulu went online and found a nice hotel close by. The Hampton Inn in downtown Bradenton is very nice. They renovated an old 1930s hotel - it is right downtown - well done rooms with period-piece furniture - free wifi - wonderful breakfast including scratch waffles - and free parking.
It cost $110 - but after a night in a broken down camper - we needed a little luxury. After leaving the camper at the Dodge dealer - we did a little touring in the rental car - and then settled into a nice evening in the hotel. We watched some bowl games but were quickly asleep. In the morning Lulu made a passing comment about the little light in the smoke alarm flashing.
After breakfast we checked out - and told the desk clerk how much we liked the hotel - we made no complaints. The clerk asked us if there were any problems. Lulu said other than the little light in the smoke alarm flashing - it was perfect.
When we got home Lulu got an email to fill out a survey about the hotel. Under the comments section she mentioned the flashing light. An email came back saying that they have a satisfaction guaranteed policy. We did not know that but now we do.
An email came back saying they were sorry and they refunded the hotel room price to our credit card. We love Hampton Inns.
