Coal Cracker Page Hits Rise

Blogger.com tracks the number of hits on my page daily. The highest it ever received was 1800 in one day. That was a story about Elian Gonzalez's birthday.

Usually the average is about 300 a day. Olympic traffic increased it to 500 yesterday - with 200 today already and it is only 6 AM back home.

I refuse to put advertising on my way page. I do not hound my viewers to buy anything - I do not record their email or addresses - etc.

It is going to be interesting covering the Olympics over here.

I love reading your blog on a normal basis, but I tend to check in more often (usually more than once a day) when you guys are traveling, especially on the yearly trip to London. You have such a great use of the language and your emotions always pop out of your posts. Keep up the great job.
